Sunday-Sunday March 1-8 at 2:00pm and Saturday March 7 at 7:00 pm: Makeshift Theater performance of The Raise. Tickets are $20.00 at the door or order at makeshift.booktix.com.
Thursday, March 5th at 2:00: International Women's Day Tea. International Women's Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. Women all over the world come together on this day to celebrate their achievements. We will be welcoming Holly Harris Bane, Director of Economic Development for the City of Aurora and Board Member of the Women's Endowment Fund to speak to us about how the Women's Endowment Fund helps women in need in the Akron area. Our meeting will include tea, coffee, small sandwiches and desserts. Cost will be $20.00. Deadline for reservations is March 3rd.
Tuesday, March 10th at 1:30-3:00 pm: Afternoon Chapter. Come and join us as we settle in for some uninterrupted reading time. We will meet in the Gallery or the Wolle Lounge, depending on the headcount.
Friday, March 13th at 12:00 pm: History Section: Women in History Performance-Sojourner Truth. Portrayal will be by Robin Echols Copper. Buffet lunch will include Cup of Chicken Supreme Cream Soup, Homemade Baked Meatloaf with Celery & Onions, Baked Au Gratin Potatoes with Broccoli & Cheese, Fresh Green Beans with Peppers & Sliced Almonds, Fresh Baked Rolls, and Peach Cobbler with Whipped Cream. A vegetarian option is also available. Cost will be $30.00. You may also attend only the presentation for a $5.00 fee. Deadline for lunch reservations is March 6th.
Tuesday, March 17th at 12:00: St. Patrick's Day Lunch. Come and enjoy mini potato pancakes and sauerkraut balls, corned beef with cabbage, potatoes and glazed baby carrots, with mint ice cream and a shamrock cookie for dessert. Cost for the meal is $35.00. Deadline for reservations is March 10th. Be sure to wear your best green for the event!
Wednesday, March 18th at 10:30 am: General Membership Meeting. A lunch option of grilled chicken salad, rolls and cookies will be available after the meeting. Cost for the meal is $30.00. Deadline for reservations is March 11th.
Tuesday, March 24th at 2:00 pm: Book Section. When the Season Ends: A Mackinac Island Novel by Stay Windahl. When the Season Ends makes Mackinac Island come to life in a vivid novel that will draw you in and take you on a journey through a season that you do not want to miss. It is a wonderfully engaging story about a woman finding her way back to herself set against the backdrop of beautiful Mackinac Island. There will be light refreshments prior to the program. A $10.00 charge for the section will be collected.
Friday, March 27th at 2:00 pm: Fundraising Paint Party. Come and let your artistic talents shine! All materials and setup is included in the price. Funds raised from this activity will go to the Club. Cost is $45.00. Deadline for reservations is March 17th.
